Ingredients:
6 c  Cabbage; cut in 1" cubes
4 sl Bacon
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Black pepper
1 c  Water

In heavy 3 quart saucepan render bacon. Remove from pan. In remaining fat
brown cabbage slightly, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients.
Cover tightly and allow to cook over medium flame for 15 minutes. Remove
cover and allow to cook for a few minutes longer until all water cooks out
and cabbage is done.
