Ingredients:
2 md Apples
1 1/2 c  Flour
3 1/2 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
6 tb Granulated sugar, divided
1/4 c  Butter
1    Egg, well beaten
3/4 c  Milk
1/2 ts Ground cinnamon

Peel & cut apples into eighths (wedges). Sift together flour, baking
powder & salt with 4 Tbls. of the sugar. Cut in butter. Combine egg &
milk & add to flour mixture. Turn batter into greased 8″ square cake
pan. Press apple wedges partly into batter. Combine remaining 2 Tbls.
sugar & cinnamon, sprinkle over apple. Bake at 425 for 25 to 30
minutes.
