Ingredients:
3/4 c Flour -- sifted 1/4 ts Baking powder 1/4 ts Salt 2 tb Cocoa 3/4 c Sugar 1/2 c Shortening 2 Eggs 1 ts Vanilla 1/2 c Walnuts 1 pk Miniature marshmallows FROSTING: 1/2 c Brown sugar 1/4 c Water 2 Squares baking chocolate 3 tb Butter 2 tb Vanilla 1 1/2 c Powdered sugar
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa, and sugar. Blend in shortening,
eggs, and teaspoon vanilla. Add walnuts. Spread in greased baking pan and
bake at 350^ for 20 minutes. Take from oven; sprinkle miniature
marshmallows over the top, keeping away from sides of pan. Put back into
oven for 3 minutes. For the frosting, combine brown sugar, water,
chocolate. Boil for 3 minutes; take from burner and add butter, vanilla,
and powdered sugar (enough to make smooth icing). Spread over marshmallows
and let cool. Cut in squares.
