Ingredients:
1 1/2 Sticks butter 1/4 c Brown sugar 1/4 c Sugar 2 ts Ginger 1 ts Cinnamon 1/4 ts Allspice 1 1/2 ts Salt 1 Egg 3/4 c Molasses 3 1/4 c Flour 1 ts Baking soda 1/2 ts Baking powder
Cream together butter, sugars, spices & salt. Add egg & mix
thoroughly. Add molasses & blend. Sift together twice: flour, powder
& soda. Add to molasses mixture & stir until blended. Chill well.
Preheat oven to 375. Using floured rolling pin, roll dough to 1/4″
thick on floured pastry cloth or board. Use a cookie cutter to press
out desired shape. Place on greased baking sheets & bake 8-10 minutes.
