Ingredients:
1 c Flour 2 tb Sugar 1 1/2 ts Baking powder 1 ts Salt 2/3 c Cornmeal 2 tb Shortening Egg; slightly beaten 3/4 c Milk 1 lb Franks; (8-10)
Sift first four ingredients together, stir in cornmeal, cut in short-
ening, combine egg and milk, and add to cornmeal mix. Sir all until well
mixed.
Insert wooden skewers into end of frank. Spread frank evenly with batter.
Deep fry until browned (4-5 minutes). ENJOY
