1 c Flour 1/4 ts Salt 5 tb Cut up unsalted butter 3 tb Cold water
In med bowl, combine flour & salt; mix well. With pastry blender cut
in butter until mix resembles coarse crumbs. Or, in food processor,
combine flour, salt & butter. Using pulse motion, cut in butter until
mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle in 1 Tbls. cold water;
toss with fork. Add additional water, 1 Tbls. at a time, tossing with
fork after each addition & adding just enough water to hold pastry
together. Or, in food processor, add water, 1 Tbls. at a time,
processing just until pastry holds together. Press dough lightly to
form a disk. Do not knead. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate 30
minutes.
