Ingredients:
3 tb Oil 2 1/4 lb Short ribs 1 c Flour 1 Diced onion 4 Minced garlic cloves 2 Diced celery stalks 1 Diced green pepper 1 c Crushed tomatoes 2 tb Tomato paste 1 c Water 2 ts Salt 1 ts Pepper 1/4 ts Oregano 1/2 ts Thyme 1/2 ts Cayenne 1/2 ts Basil 3 Bay leaves 2 tb Brown sugar
Heat oil in skillet. Coat ribs with flour & place in skillet. Add
onion, garlic, celery & pepper; saute until tender. Add tomatoes,
paste & water; stir. Add seasonings, bay leaves & sugar. Reduce heat
& simmer 3 hours, adding more water as needed.
