2 c Scalded milk 1/2 c Butter 3 lg Eggs
Remove scalded milk from stove. Add butter. Whip eggs with a fork,
add to mixture.
In a large mixing bowl mix/combine: 2 pkg. dry yeast 1/2 c. warm
water 1 t. salt
Add: 1/2 c. sugar
Then add: 6 cups flour
Dump on a large bread board and knead in additional flour until it is
elastic and smooth. Rub a little butter in mixing bowl and place
dough in bowl. Turn dough over. Cover with a clean dish cloth and let
rise until doubled.
In a 1/4 sheet cake pan (or equivalent) melt 1 stick butter. Pinch off
dough in golf ball size amounts (makes large rolls). Knead gently 5-10
times and place in rows on pan about 1/2 inch apart. Let rise until
doubled (about 30-45 minutes) Bake aboaut 10 minutes until golden
brown at 450 degrees. Sometimes I need to use an additional 8 x 8 pan
for the extras!
