Ingredients:
----NY TIMES INTERNATIONAL CKBK---- 2 lb Scallops, bay OR ocean Salt and pepper 6 Basil leaves, chpd OR 1t dry 2 Rosemary sprigs OR 1/2 t dry 1 Lemon, thinly sliced Tabasco to taste 1/4 c Veg oil
Bay scallops remain whole. Ocean scallops, halve. Place in bowl with
remaining ingreds and marinate 2 hrs or longer. Remove and arrange in one
layer in baking dish. Broil 3 mins, turn and broil 3 mins longer until
barely cooked through. Dont overcook or they will toughen.
