Ingredients:
5 c Apple cider vinegar 5 c Brown sugar 1 ts Cayenne 2 ts Ginger 1 tb White mustard seed 1 ts Cinnamon 1 ts Turmeric 1 ts Salt 12 Tart pears (peeled & finely Chopped) 3 lg Yellow onions (as above) 12 Green tomatoes (as above)
Place first 8 ingredients in large kettle & bring to boil. Cook for 5
minutes & add remaining ingredients. Reduce heat & simmer over low
heat for 30 minutes. Pack chowchow into sterile jars. Seal & process
in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
