1 All purpose flour 1 1/2 pt Vanilla extract 2 pt All purpose flour 2 oz Semisweet mini choc. chip 1 pt Double-acting baking powder 1 1/2 oz Chopped pecans 1/4 pt Salt
Preheat oven to 350. Into small mixing bowl or onto sheet of wax paper sift
together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. Using electric mixer,
in large mixing bowl cream magarine. Add sugar to margarine and beat at
high speed until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. Reduce speed to
low and gradually add sifted ingredients, beating until combined; fold in
chocolate chips and pecans. Spray 6x6x2-inch baking dish with non-stick
cooking spray; spread batter evenly in dish and bake 30 to 35 minutes
(until lightly browned and a cake tester, inserted in center, comes out
clean). Transfer to wire rack and let cool completely before serving. To
serve, cut into 3×2-inch bars.
