Ingredients:
2 Sticks butter or margarine 1 1/2 c Brown sugar 3 c Flour 1 ts Baking soda 1 lb Candied cherries, chopped 1 lb Candied pineapple, chopped 1 lb Dates, chopped 6 c Pecans, chopped 1/2 c Buttermilk 3 Eggs, well beaten 2 ts Cinnamon 1 ts Vanilla 1 ts Allspice 1/2 ts Nutmeg 1/2 ts Cloves 1 ts Salt
Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add
alternately with milk to sugar/butter/eggs mixture. Pour batter into
chopped fruits and nuts. Mix. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet
and bake 25 min. in a 300 degree oven. Do not burn.
