Sift dry ingredients, except wheat germ. Cream syrup, eggs, sugar and oil. Mix dry ingredients alternately with applesauce to creamed mixture. Add wheat germ and raisins. Pour into greased and lightly floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
