Brown Island Velvet Hummer

Preparation : Each “Hummer” recipe yields 2 servings. Soften the ice cream a little before adding to other ingredients. Blend until creamy and enjoy. Mix all ingredients together and have a wonderful afternoon!

Pink Pussycat

Place ice cubes in a tall glass. Pour in cherry brandy, cream and cherry juice. Stir well with a long spoon and fill glasses with lemonade. Garnish with cherry and serve.

Spiced Apple Cider

Mix in a saucepan: cider, allspice, cloves, and cinnamon. Boil 5 minutes. Add brown sugar. Boil 5 minutes longer.

Vanilla Pecan

Pour brandy, pecans, cinnamon, and vanilla beans (extract may be alternated) in jar and cover. Let stand for 2-3 weeks. Add sugar syrup to taste. Let stand 1 week. Strain and steep 2 more weeks. Ready to serve. Excellent for baking. Yield: 1 1/2 quarts Container: 1/2 gallon jar

Hot Pineapple Punch

In large saucepan, combine pineapple juice, sugar, lime juice, and nutmeg; bring to boiling, stirring till sugar dissolves. Reduce heat; stir in wine. Heat through but DO NOT BOIL. Pour into heat-proof glasses or mugs. Garnish each serving with cinnamon stick stirer and pineapple wedge. Makes about 9 cups.

Peach Liqueur

You want yellow or cream-coloured peaches. Season is May to Sept. Avoid green ones as they wont ripen at home. Peel peaches and cut in quarters. Citrus Sage Chicken Breasts

Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry; place in a shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour 1/2 of mixture over chicken and bake 20 minutes longer or until done. Yield: 8 servings.

Mix all ingredients; refrigerate until chilled. Stir before serving. Serve over ice.
